Can we choose our make or model of the Van/Car?
Generally no but with hires of 12 months or more we can arrange this. Short-Term vehicle of course are normally less than 6 months old.
What if i have points on my licence?
This does not mean that you cannot rent a vehicle but please call our reservations department on 08707 589 960 to ensure that the rental partner will accept a booking with your endorsements.
Can i make amendments to a booking?
Yes, please call 08707 589 960 and talk to our reservations team.
If i print a copy of the voucher, can i reprint it if i later amend a booking?
Yes, simply return to your E-mail confirmation where there will be a link to retrieve your rental voucher online.
What do i do if the vehicle i want doesn’t appear in the display list?
This could be due to restrictions on the driver age, but if your driver is between the ages of 25 to 75 there should not be any restrictions imposed. Please call our reservations department with your specific requirements on 08707 589 960.
What is the shortest time in which i can book a vehicle before i travel? What if i fly the same day?
Web booking can be taken 48 hours before departure. For booking for collection in the next 12 hours or sooner please call our reservations department on 08707 589 960.
What happens if i do not have a credit card?
This is not a problem, we accept most major debit cards also, please call our reservations department on 08707 589 960 to confirm.
Why do i have to put cancellations in writing?
We require letters of cancellation from the customer for proof of cancellation and to keep on our internal files. You can also cancel via E-mail at cancellations@vanrentalsupermarket.co.uk or via fax.
Where can i find a list of your rental locations?
All of our rental locations can be found on our booking engine drop-down list. Where Holiday Car Hire is concerned, first select a country and then select a more specific location.
Can i book one way rentals?
Yes, in selected locations. Please call our reservations department on 08707 589 960 for a quote. Restrictions may apply, particularly if you require to cross border one way rentals.
What is the minimum/maximum age to rent a vehicle online?
You must be between 23 and 75 at the time of rental pick-up for vans, and between 25 and 75 at the time of rental pick-up for cars. If you are outside this age range please call our reservations department for a quote on 08707 589 960
What if my flight is delayed?
As long as we have been notified of the flight number before you travel and there is an out of hours service available, the vehicle rental partners will wait (although an out of hours charge payable locally may apply)
How do i find out how much deposit i have to leave with the rental partner?
All deposits for both insurance excess and fuel can be advised by calling our reservations department on 08707 589 960.
Where are the additional extras – when do i pay for them?
All extras where offered are payable locally at time of pick-up.
What is the latest day before departure i can make a booking online?
You can book up to 48 hours prior to your desired rental date online.
Does the web show daily rates?
Yes.
Can i drive on my USA (or foreign) driving licence?
Yes, provided you have not been in residence in the UK for more than 12 months (after 12 months the law states that you must exchange your licence for a UK licence).
Can i pay for someone else to rent a vehicle?
Yes, you can pay for the hire of the vehicle but the person who is going to be the driver must be listed as the main driver at the time of the booking. The driver must also present his or her own credit or debit card at the time of collection.
Can i rent a diesel vehicle?
All of our vans are diesels. We cannot guarantee diesel cars but we do have them on fleet and you may ‘request’ diesel and we will do our best to fulfil your requirements.
If i am under 25 what is the largest vehicle i may rent?

I have hear horror stories regarding rental companies charging for damage at a later time after my rental has finished?
We offer two very basic and very important rules to avoid this EVER happening which are:
- Walk around the vehicle and check for damage before you leave the rental depot.
- Upon return of your vehicle insist on the vehicle being checked whilst you are present, DO NOT take no for an answer.
This will definitely avoid mistakes ever happening always take the name and/or get a signature on the rental agreement. All damage should be noted on your rental agreement, if it is not, YOU could be held accountable at the end of the rental. If you take just two minutes at the start of any rental, this WILL prevent this ever happening.
